CONTES IMMORAUX PARTIE 1 – MAISON MÈRE
A SHOW BY
Phia Ménard fashions her Marshall village alone. Spreading, spiking, cutting, assembling, laying. It all comes neatly together except for this cloud gathering above. A lightning bolt, a shower, and pouring rain! And the Marshall village comes crashing down despite all efforts to salvage it. It is now mush, sludge in which bodies drown. And everything must be rebuilt again. Tape and cardboard serve to illustrate the material Phia Ménard is so fond of in a provocative (terrifying) metaphor of a Europe relentlessly rebuilding itself.
