LES HÉROS DE LA PENSÉE
Taking over the Chapuisat brothers’ installation on the grand stage of Nanterre-Amandiers, Les Héros de la pensée will bring together philosophers and researchers for a 26 hour discussion on the possibility of another world. This is a performance piece-like marathon symposium that explores thought in refreshing and playful ways. Reviving a utopia outlined by Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault in the late 1960s, Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre consider the author’s death as a recognizable, isolated, specialized, authorized and identified person. In this quest for sincerity, ideas will circulate through stories, anecdotes and alternative channels in order to talk about the world without authorship or copyrights. This will be a kind of dance macabre, disquieting and joyful, equally celebrating the end and the rebirth.
